| “ | I have seen the future that will come to pass. In this vision, I see myself crushing Xel’lotath, as I was meant to do. My many mouths consume its body from all sides, gnawing at it, until nothing remains. This I have seen. This is what will be.

Chattur'gha is, along with Ulyaoth and Xel'lotath and Mantarok, one of four mysterious, Cthulhu-like beings in the video game Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, known as "The Ancients". The exact origin of the Ancients is unknown, it is only stated that they existed on Earth before mankind, and were at some point banished to another dimension, however, they are still capable of influencing events on Earth. Namely, one of the Ancients, possibly Chattur'gha depending on the player's choices, lured a Roman Centurion named Pious Augustus into collecting on of the essences of the Ancients from a mysterious underground temple in Persia in 26 BC. From then on, Pious become an undead servant of whichever Ancient the player chose, and furthers the Ancient's goal of destroying the other Ancients and humanity, taking over the Earth (and possibly the entire universe) for itself and its minions or "Guardians"- zombies and other monsters.
