In the south Pacific, deep under the waves, the ancient Alien city of R'lyeh lies, and within it sleeps in "death", Cthulhu, God of madness and Dreams! Older than the Earth itself, Cthulhu is a member of the Pantheon of gods known as the "Great old Ones", and when properly awakened and guided by his cult of homocidal humans, he wil return and awaken his brethren, unleashing a worldwide mass hysteria too horrendous to fathom! Cthulhu speaks to humans in nightmares, and his presence and appearance evokes madness, even heart attacks and death. His Idols relate his basic form: an octopus/Squid-like head, dragon wongs, mighty claws, and antrhopoid form with scales. However, though this basic outline is correct, his true appearance, in total, cannot be related with human words, so awesome and macabre it is. His body is made not of matter or energy, but an odious substance that upon his awakening, is a glob of indescribable abominations. However, if he stays awakened for long, then perhaps this form may harden.
Sounds like fiction, eh? Yet in the real world, a noise from a biological creature, far larger than the Blue whale, was recorded in the south Pacific a few years ago, almost at the same location Cthulhu's creator, HP Lovecraft, noted in his groundbreaking fiction, "The Call of Cthulhu".
Coincidence?
