The French Foreign Legion is a unique military unit in the French Army established in 1831. The legion was specifically created for foreign nationals wishing to serve in the French Armed Forces. Commanded by French officers, it is also open to French citizens, who amounted to 24% of the recruits as of 2007.
The Legion is today known as an elite military unit whose training focuses not only on traditional military skills but also on its strong esprit de corps. As its men come from different countries with different cultures, this is a widely accepted solution to strengthen them enough to work as a team. Consequently, training is often described as not only physically challenging, but also extremely stressful psychologically.

Battle vs. Delta Force (by Urbancommando77)Edit
A Delta Force combat jeep was prowling the destroyed streets. The turret operater spotted a vehicule moving towards the jeep. "We have contact." He said to his commander. "Permission to fire." He said. "Granted." The commander replied. The Delta Force sniper was scoping the area. He saw the Vehicule and contacted the commander. "Permission to fire at the upcoming vehicle?" The sniper said. "Yes!" The commander said it a bit louder than he wanted. The sniper aimed at the passenger of the vehicule and fired his barett. The bullet pushed through the glass and hit the passenger. The pasenger grabbed his wound and grabbed his FR F2 and fired i the wrong window. The DF soldier fired again and killed the passenger. "We have contact!" A legonarry shouted in russian. The passenger's head hit the vehicule's dashboard as he bled out.
The sniper pulled out a crossbow and put in an explosive bolt and shot the engine. He kpt shooting the engine. The soldiers where already out of the vehicule except two. One was the driver who wasn't aware that the engine was going to explode and was trying to see if the dead legionary was okay, and the other was a legioary who refused to leave until he got his benelli.
The Delta force charged (Except the M240 operater and the driver). One legionary grabbed his AT4 and fired at the jeep.
The turret operater survived, and tore off the M240. "Help!" He yelled. A legionary pulled out his FAMAS and ran to the wreckage. He found the turret operater and aimed his Famas. They both fired at the same time. The legionary blew up a part of the engine and the Delta force turret operater blew the Legionarie's head to pieces.
Delta Force: 3
The last FFL soldier ran into the same building that the sniper was in and ran to his position. He pulled out his FAMAS and stabbed the sniper in the neck.
Delta Force: 2
The legionary aimed at the delta force soldiers. He fired his FAMAS, but missed. One of them ran up to him. "Come on!" He yelled in german. The Legioary pulled out a P90 and fired. The Delta Force soldier ducked into cover and pulled out his MP5 and silenced it. He ran to a door and went around to the other side of the room. The legionary thought he was still in the cover and ran to it. "Huh?" He muttered. The DF soldier ran behind him and fired at him. The legionary turned around and fired his P90, killing the soldier.
Delta Force: 1
The Delta Force leader ran up to the legionary and pulled out his knife. The two lunged at eachother. The legionary threw the leader at the window and shoved him out the window.
The legionary ran back to the vehicule and muttered "I need a promotion...".
The French Foreign Legion had both better weapons, as well as better training that the experts believed won them the day.

The ranger had slightly better trained then the FFL.
Battle vs. Waffen SS (by Jar teh marksman)Edit
5 Waffen soldiers are marching through tangled brush. After clearing from the annoying plants, they notice a band of French troops. One SS takes aim with his Karbainer 98k, and fires, turning one FFL member's brain into mush.
"Cibles, cotés gauche! Cotés gauche!" (Targets, left side! Left side!) one calls out as the remaining 4 swirl around to return fire on the flanking Germans. A bullet comes right out the barrell of a MAS-38, and goes straight into a SS troop's chest, killing him instantly.
"Repliez-vous!" (Fall back!) The FFL leader commands as they retreat back further. "Folgen sie ihnen nach, lassen sie nicht weg!" (Follow after them, don't let them get away!) A Nazi soldier calls out. While the FFL run back into the surrounding trees, one SS member jumps up, and hits an FFL soldier in the back with a bullet from his FG42.
The SS appear into the forest, checking each corner for any hostile forces. They decide to split up into groups of 2, and head of in seperate directions.
As one group heads into a creek, a FFL member appears and sprays a Waffen soldier down with his BAR.
The other group member tries to shoot at the French trooper, but he ducks and runs back into the forest before he can get shot. As the remaining Nazi in that group advances forward to avenge his fallen comrade, he comes to a group of fallen trees. Before he can react, he's stabbed in the stomach and shot dead by an FFL member's MAB Model 1.
The other group of elite German soldiers, on the other hand, are having much more luck. One whips out his Mauser and nabs a FFL member right in between the eyes. Another mows down the second to last French soldier with the MP34.
The FFL leader creeps in the shadows as he plots the demise of the reich-loving pigs. The 2 remaining German soldiers pass, and the FFL leader pulls out his Camillus. He kicks one in the back, sending him to the ground, and stabs the other through the neck.
The last Waffen SS troop jumps back up as his fellow soldier falls back down. He aims, fires, but hears a clicking noise. His Mauser is out of ammo! The French commander takes advantage by butt-ending the German with the stock of his MAS-36, jumping back, and blowing the SS soldier's head apart.
Nazi Waffen SS:
The French leader stares down at his dead opponent, pumps his fist into the air, and cries out "Nous sommes la Legion etrangere francaise!" (We are the French Foreign Legion!)
WINNER: French Foreign Legion
The Waffen SS definitely brought discipline to the fight, but the FFL brought training and mobility. Plus the FFL had years of experience and weapons that not only delivered precision, but were also lightweight which kept the FFL moving around and flanking the Waffen SS, soldiers who liked to stick in packs.

Expert's Opinion Edit
This was a close match. While the Legion had firearms and intelligence, the overwhelming hordes of of the undead were capable of evening out the odds. All in all, both sides had their own advantages and disadvantages and this resulted in a draw.
