An iconic weapon of the elusive ninja, the Ninjatō has little place in history but a solid stance in popular culture. First seen in the 1962 magazine Shinobi no Mono, the Ninjatō was popularized as the iconic weapon of ninjas. Although no record of this sword was seen in the Edo period of Japan (an era the ninja was most active), the blade's use in movies, video games, and comics has led it to become nearly as iconic as the Samurai's own katana.
