The Alliance was an association of diverse races, including many of the Doctor's enemies, formed to stop the greatest threat in the universe, which they all believed to be the Doctor; it was actually the Silence, who may have influenced the creation of this group. They predicted that the explosion of his TARDIS would cause the cracks in time, which in turn would end all of existence.

The Alliance devised a plan to trap the Doctor in a specially-built prison known as the Pandorica to prevent him from piloting his TARDIS. However, none of them knew River Song could pilot the TARDIS as well, which led to the explosion. They were temporarily removed from existence, but thanks to their creation, the Pandorica, the Doctor reversed the damage done by the Silence and restored them to their proper times without memory of their alliance.

MembersEdit

Daleks- Daleks were the mutated descendants of the Kaleds of the planet Skaro. They fought the Time Lords in the Last Great Time War, ending in the near-total destruction of both races. Regarded by the Doctor as his greatest enemy, the Daleks were hated and feared throughout time and space. They were the oldest and most frequent foes of the Doctor, having faced him several times in every one of his incarnations.

Cybermen (Pete's World)- One type of Cyberman originated in another universe, where they were created by John Lumic, the owner of Cybus Industries. His Cybermen believed that all people must be "upgraded" to Cyber-form, so that information would never be lost and that the humans' physical and emotional weaknesses would be abolished.

Sontarans- The Sontarans were a race of belligerent and militaristic clones from the planet Sontar. They waged eternal war throughout Mutter's Spiral against the Rutan Host.

Silurians- The Silurians, also known as Earth Reptiles, Eocenes, Homo reptilia and Psionosauropodomorpha, were a species of Earth reptile. Technologically advanced, they lived during the Silurian (circa - 450 million years) alongside their aquatic cousins, the Sea Devils. Unlike other species, Silurians showed an important intraspecific variation (vast differentiation between breeds), such as the number of eyes, the formation of their pupils or the colour of their skin.

Krillitane- The Krillitanes were a race that could take physical features from races they conquered.The Krillitanes were able to take the abilities from other species, giving them new appearances and qualities. They could also create morphic illusions, giving them the appearance of yet other species.

Autons- The Autons were metamorphic android robots, artificial life forms which were essentially life sized plastic dummies animated by the Nestene Consciousness. Though they were not the only creations of the Nestene Consciousness, they were the most common and the most easily identifiable.
