| The SAS's training is infamously difficult and is revered as some of the most intense training practiced today. The already battle hardened British Commandos go through 20 weeks of training meant to refine the soldiers to their physical and mental peak. They are taught multiple martial arts. Most of the training is completed in full combat gear. | Training | MARSOC operators go through an extensive 4 phase training course. Phase 1 teaches the trainees in depth survival techniques (including lighting a fire with a piece of ice), as well as hand-to-hand fighting skills and martial arts. Phase 2 expands on phase 1 and is dedicated to marksmanship. Phase 3 teaches strategy. Phase 4 covers "irregular warfare" - in other words, anything goes fighting. |
