Re: How to properly do a rematch Edit

First off it's okay not to have X-factors or experts' opinions considering it's not a part of the rules, and all my battles don't have any of that stuff. Second, you can make the battle like it's a new fight, there's no need to put "rematch" on it, but you can if you want. One day voting is OK, but it is implied that the voting period should be longer then one day. Both Lasmoore and Jwarrior89 are right, just change the weapons so that it won't be the same thing over again. Finally, it is fine to disregard the events of the previous fight. Answer on Listing NamesEdit

First of all do not listen to Tomahawk at all, because he doesn't know what he's talking about. To answer your other question. All the warriors victorious are placed in his Win track and all of his defeats in his Lost track.( It can be placed chronologically or alphabetically or however way you want.). Its really fucking simple, so don't press too hard.

Thanks for voicing your concerns! First, I was planning to add the rematch section to the Battle Policy but I've been lazy and haven't done it. Second, a battle no longer becomes a part of an author's work after two months, not one. Next, if a user has not been active for two or more months following or during the publishing of their battle, that battle can be redone without author permission. Fourth, I like your proposed rule so I'll put it up. For the X-factors, I don't think I said anything about the actual scores, just that if a warrior won by better training the battle can't be done since training is static and cannot be changed. If the inactive user returns after two or more months, the rematch is still legal because that user was inactive. For the battle by Thunderchin, if there were no votes before his completing of the battle then it was an illegal battle. For your suggestion about sorcerers and wizards, I believe that their powers must be limited considering they might pack powers that can cause instant death and cannot be overridden by their opponents' powers, thus making the fight unfair. However, I might publish a blog about this subject to see what others think.

I support the amount of supporters for a rematch idea. For the training issue, I believe if you can really prove that the author had the training completely wrong then you can do a rematch, but you must obtain a certain amount of supporters. I'll definitely make a blog about this tomorrow. In the blog, I'll definitely bring up the wizard power issue and see how the wiki will react. Firstly, the idea was all the battles on his page were to be deleted UNTIL his ban was over

Secondly, After the ban was implemented (which did infact get support) i stopped looking at the blog. It was meant for him being banned, and that was it. So obviously i didnt see reason to check it.

I hadnt actually deleted the battles, just the ones shown on his page. The blogs are still there. Now SWG hadnt known because at the time, I hadnt any activity from him. So if he was lurking he should have checked the Admin Page. If you want to edit his page, then by all means go ahead. Doing it my way is apparently too far

Actually, there was a poll on the battle, I counted both the comments and the poll, and the results were, that Hulk got 2 comment votes and 3 poll votes, but Grundy got 6 poll votes, so with that I declared Grundy the winner, I deleted the poll to make room for the battle, so I see why you misunderstood.

That was a system enacted a long time before you were here. That was supposed to be sort of a "crown" to show that he won my tourney, it doesn't mean he's the best overall, just the best in my tourney.

For your second part, if it was Alan vs. the Predator directly then it wouldn't count. Just because Rambo was beaten by the Predator and defeated the other two doesn't make the Predator necessarily better than Rambo's other competitors.

Okay I read your message and it's very through. so here's my answer.

This is how the criteria is suppose to go

1. use the latest Infobox made recently by Omnicube, which is the black/gray one

2. Have a History section, powers/abilities or weapons section depending on the warrior(Note: if it's a wizard you can use a link to their power section on another site if you can't summarize.), and a list of battles he or she have won or lost. There's no chronological order, it's just whoever get's the chance to post their battle on their page if they get a chance (since most people don't have time since they have busy.). you can arrange the battle order however you want there's no specific way.

3. For Battle Status, it's preferable to go Battles currently being held, victories, losses, and then ties, but some people might do it diffrently to make it easier for other people.

A couple answers for you, as best I can: On standardizing battle headings: I tried to encourage users to use option 4 (Battle vs Warrior (By User)) at the start of the wiki, but that kinda fell through. We'd have to have an admin consensus on which to use for standardization, and getting everyone to meet is nigh-impossible. Since it's a relatively minor issue, you can just use the one that you think is best as a standard. Regarding writing other user's battles for or re-writing them without changing the outcome: It was in the rules, while they were still rules and not policies, that you could do so if you had the user's permission. I'm not sure if this carried over to the new Policy format as a written rule, but it has always been an unspoken rule around here, albeit one that's rarely used. Hope that answers some of your concerns.

Was Hoping For Your Help On Something...Edit

Hey Hayden! I've been thinking a lot about a replacement battle for Voldemort vs. Kratos since someone beat me to the punch on that one, and I finally settled on something. I would like to pit Voldemort against Wailord, the water type Float Whale Pokemon. I know this sounds a little off kilter, but stick with me here- I've chosen Wailord because he is the epitome of his element, and is a capable melee fighter in addition to being excellent in the water. He may be big, but his Water Veil would work as a shield against some of Voldemort's spells and his Pressure ability would cause Voldemort to run out of steam as he cast more spells. I think it's a fairly close match, despite the odd sound. Leo is already doing the expert opinion/argument in Wailord's favor, and I thought I'd turn to you to do the same for Voldemort. I deeply apologize for my lateness and lack of activity here, work has distracted me from here for a LONG TIME.  I'll try to get back to battle writing when I have a chance, but stuff has been REALLY busy here and I haven't had much time for Wikia.  Regardless, I'll answer your questions in whatever way I can. 

Firstly...although I feel the LotR films are more iconic, and some features of warriors I tried to base off of them to as to be more recognizable (it sure worked in Eragon vs. Witch-king), but in the end the very essence of their...warrior-hood...are the books.  I don't remember this being mentioned anywhere, but I like to imagine that Gandalf hesitates to use the full extent of his magic because 1): Sauron could sense it, seeing as he uses the Palantir of Barad-dur, and 2): Being essentially the equivalent of an angel (and Sauron a "fallen angel"...I know it sounds familiar but Tolkien WAS a Catholic after all), the full might of Gandalf's power could possibly cause equal damage amongst friends (ie the Fellowship).  But overall, in a matchup against Yoda I do think it's fair enough.  Gandalf the Grey is one matter....he is a more closed figure so to speak, particularly in the film adaptions of LotR and The Hobbit (and yes, I thought it was damn amazing).  

Anyway, I think it's really Gandalf the WHITE who is more willing to use his powers to a somewhat greater extent.  However do note that Middle-earth isn't like many role-playing or video games; particular rising of power is quite slow and more realistic, so still after decades of being a Ranger, Aragorn can get his ass kicked by an Orc.  So just to make it clear, I somewhat regret choosing Gandalf the White for the battle against Dumbledore. Saruman I think of in a similar way, seeing as Gandalf the White is basically the aspect of what Saruman should have been had he not been corrupted by greed over the Ring.  My personal argument against his beating Voldemort is 1): THE KILLING CURSE...need I say more? 2): While we all know what most of the magic in the Harry Potter series happens NOT to be lethal (the above example being the most notable exception), a good deal can incapacitate rather well! Finally, 3): There seems to be a sort of dislike for Harry Potter amongst some people here (not you obviously =P), but I can't put my finger on the reason why.  Either way Voldemort should have won against both Saruman and Vader. 

On Sauron...a battle against the White Witch is BS, and one of the most unfair matchups I've heard of to date.  Some people just don't realize that certain warriors or a matchup of two warriors DOESN'T WORK, like this one (I also believe that the Slender Man is an unfair participant in a DW battle and shouldn't be allowed because he's not exactly made for one, is he?).  Some people have an insanely unhealthy almost "fanboy" appetite for trying to implement a certain character into as many things as possible (for example a certain usage of Imhotep, but I'll stop there before I get into any trouble).

Anyway...in the books it is referenced frequently that Sauron originally thought Elendil and Gil-galad who were both quite powerful (especially Gil-galad, a full Noldor Elf and the most prominent ruler of the Eldar in Middle-earth at the time), and though they managed to overpower Sauron for a moment, they fell in the process and Isildur managed to take what was left of Narsil and cut the stunned Sauron's ring finger off.  Also note that Sauron DID invest most of his former power into the Ring, so it only makes sense that he had lost some of his power.  Also note that in the film he didn't exactly do much physical work besides swing his mace, who knows what other powers he had, had he been given the chance? Also I highly doubt he expected Isildur to pull off a swing like that, and this sort of arrogance he paid for with his physical essence and managed to not do again.  Aragorn vs. Sauron is also BS, I didn't like the idea and I'm glad it was never actually used.  Would have ruined my second-favorite movie of all time. 

Regardless...I'm not the biggest loremaster on Middle-earth, so I ask not to try and exalt me with such titles but still I can't help but feel a bit proud of it.  Anyway...there isn't really much in the way of sources I can give you besides the actual books and films, and I'm not sure how all of this will help, but I can say one last thing: Maybe most of Sauron and Gandalf's matchups were unnecessary, still note that a rising of power in Middle-earth is slow and realistic so please try and note that. 

I hope my demi-wisdom can help in any way at all, and I hope to see you and others later when I revive my battle series when the workload isn't as busy.

Program for battlecardsEdit

What program will I use to make battlecards? Any programs (microsoft word, oneNote, windows photo editor) I try to use dont allow me to merge the images or place the 'vs' sign over them.

P.S, thanks for the last battlecard, it was really awesome!

Leolab - "Good is a point of view" - Palpatine : TALK In terms of the "nerfing" being OK if the warrior is from a specific period or source, that's already in the policies as OK. If it isn't, that's how we've been operating. In terms of the separate pages for Gandalf, Pach gave me full veto power and agreed to it, as you'd see if you looked at the chat log screenshot I posted on the Gandalf page.
