Well, ill just edit my main page then, my design was a little different to the main page of this website. ill be posting a screen shot in about half an hour or so. Ive had to edit the Wiki Wordmark because the white background made it hard to read. ive basically added some stuff to it using photoshop. Hi Omnicube -
Lately there have been an excessive surplus of these "User Tournaments" from Magic to Spy to Science Fiction and I must say, it's not only annoying, I find it to be out of hand. Would there be some way that we could .... crack down and stop any more User Tournaments from being created? I don't want a Star Wars User Tournament coming next or anything else! I don't know how to do it with little lines before everything. You know, like this:

On your Edges Edit
Much better I must say. But there is somthing I feel I need to point out on your edges. I get that you understand that the Assegai can't be thrown from the Woomera, but your also assuming that LB has darts to throw. In the rules I laid out if you don't list it you don't get it, so in accordance to my own rules he doesn't have the projectiles that can be thrown from it. He included the Assegai in place of standard darts becasue I believe he thought they could be thrown from it, unaware that the spear design wouldn't allow it. That however is the only problem with your edges I found, and that is only a missunderstanding. An excellent job other wise.

Dude... I might have sockpuppetted, but I'm not sure if I have a legit reason. I had s seperate account, eviletcetera, it was my original. I saw this wiki back in January, and created that account, but my battles kept getting banned and I didn't know why. I eventually gave up and forgot my password. A couple months later, in april, I got back into the wiki and created another account, codgod13. Am I sockpuppetting?

What? I saw a sockpuppet warning on reyes' page earlier, and it said that forgetting a password was a legitamte reason for sockpuppeting. Honestly, by the time I created this account, I'm not even sure if eviletcetera was the account name. It was multiple months on a website I had barely visited, if I wanted an account I'd have had no other option! Please, this wiki is really fun and getting banned would suck.

Battle Copyright? Edit
Hello all Administrators!
Well, I know I have no authority to impose anything, so I'd like to know what you guys think about Battlefield Copyrights, because I have noticed that when some users put up a list of their future battles to come, some other user takes that battle for his own and often later down the line we have a repeat of that same battle.
So to avoid things like that, do you think that maybe the users who have come up with the battle idea themselves should have the right to keep that battle from being used by someone else prior to their posting of it? I know that I'd be upset if that happened to me and I have a new season coming up soon.
I think it'd be beneficial to everyone in the Wiki, keeping things friendly and letting creativity spill a little more freely around here. Please get back to me about this!

Upcomeing battles Edit
Hey, Omnicube. I need some advice. I'm almost done my current 'season' of battles. But it turns out what I thought to be great battles, where not so hot. Meanwhile, I have a whole season on back order. Epic match-ups like Sasquatch vs. Werewolf, Catwomen vs. Elektra, and UNSC vs. The Allies (from C&C: Red Alert 3). I'm even planning on useing that Deadliest Warrior format that users have been, well, using, to some of my blogs. I hope that updating it often will generate more comments. So anyway, what should I do about my current season? Should I hold out to the end? Or should I skip them and put the pages I made for the battles up for deletion? In my scince fiction tournyment it looks like the final is gonna be between General Grievous and Boba Fett. I was wondering if it is allowed as they have fought already. I'm pretty sure that it is allowed if they both make it to the final of a tourny but i'm not sure.
Plus they fought when Fett was in his early teens before he had his bounty hunter training so technicaly it could count.

Questions on how to do a proper re-match Edit
Hi there,
I have been part of this wiki for some time, and made only a few edits, so I would not be very surprised if you have never seen me before. Anyway, I am messaging you because an inaccurate battle has taken place. This battle I'm talking about is Duke Nukem vs Quote: http://deadliestfiction.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Thunderchin/Duke_Nukem_vs._Quote
The author gave the fight no X-factors, no expert's opinion, and only gave users one day to vote before publishing the fight. Additionally, one of the characters in the fight, Quote, is not very well known; therefore, the fight itself was not that popular, and in its single day of getting votes, only received one vote. The author, Thunderchin, stated that he/she would keep voting open, but subsquently went inactive, and has been so for over two months.
The fight itself, I daresay, is slightly biast. To see several good and valid reasons as to why Quote should have won, see the comment I posted on Thunderchin's blog post. Assuming I have correctly interpereted the last section of the battle policy, I am allowed to write a re-match between the same two characters since the original author has been inactive for over two months.
I was told on chat by Lasmoore that in order to do so, I must write it with a totally different arsenal for both characters, but then I was told by JWarrior89 that I only had to change a few of the weapons. What is your take on that? What is the "standard" amount of weapons that are changed/replaced/added/taken away in a proper re-match? Also, I was told that my new battle must be my own writing, not just and edited version of the previous. This is probably true, just wanted to clarify it with an admin. The people on chat told me, the original author meanwhile having been inactive, that Under these conditions writing a re-match would be fine. Now, I wish to get your opinion on that, and learn from you a few other rules about re-matches to make sure that I do it right.
When writing this new battle, is it allowed to disregard the events of the previous fight? Or must it imply that the other fight has taken place? Furthermore, when first announcing the re-match, do I have to state that it is a re-match, or can I announce it as though it is a new fight? If I have to say it's a re-match, am I allowed to point out Thunderchins lack of X-factors, expert's opinion, and single day time-span of voting? If not, then that's fine. Finally, assuming that the results are different, i.e. Quote wins, will it then be ok to edit Quote's page and change his battle status to: "Victorious over Duke Nukem"? And change a certain section of Duke Nukem's battle status to "Defeated by Quote"?

Lasmoore told me that I have to totally change the arsenal of the characters, but Jwarrior89 told me I only need to change two weapons. Therefore, they cannot "both" be right. How do I properly organize a battle status?Edit
Hi, I was just told by Tomahawk23 that the battle status of a warrior must be listed in the order that the battles took place. Is this true? What's wrong with alphabetical order? Also, what if he/she has a few victories, then get's defeated, but then has another victory? Is it ok to put that recent victory in the same sentence as the victories prior to that defeat? Or must it be listed after that defeat? Example: A vs. B.
A wins.
Then, A vs. C.
A wins again.
But then, A vs. D.
D wins. So, his/her battle status would say: "Victorious over B and C. Defeated by D."
But then, theres A vs. E.
A wins.
Do I change it to "Victorious over B, C and E. Defeated by D."? Or, do I change it to "Victorious over B and C. Defeated by D. Victorious over E."?
In my opinion, it really doesn't look right to have the victories/defeats put into different sentences.

I'm wondering how to count the votes. The rules of this wiki are very specific about it, but I want to make sure. For example: In this one http://deadliestfiction.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Lucasliso/Grupo_Especial_de_Operaciones_Federales_vs_GSG-9 I got a vote and a comment to back it up, but the comment does not really tell a reason other than "they are the best" which is not a reason. Does that vote count?

Battle of Mysterious Evil.... thingsEdit
For those not in the know at least about Eternal Darkness (and especially with both series), you might have some idea how I came up with this match. One of the central plot devices of Eternal is a book called the Tome of Eternal Darkness (I wonder if that might be evil!?). Now, unfortunately, I couldn't make this a fight between the Tome of Eternal Darkness and the Book of Darkness, because the Tome, unlike the Book of Darkness, does not have a powerful humanoid "will". So, I used on the Lovecraftian horrors associated with the Tome of Eternal Darkness, so without further ado:
Ulyaoth, the mysterious, giant, cnidarian-like monstrosity with powerful magic, that predates the human race, and intends to destroy them and take their place.

Information on rematches and loadouts for wizards Edit
Hello there Omnicube,
I am messaging you because I feel it necessary to make some suggestions for improvments for this wiki's system. First off, I will touch up on re-matches. I had to go to several different sources to understand everything necessary about properly doing a re-match before I did my first battle. I seriously think there should be a section in the battle policy devoted to how to do a re-match, and the circumstances under which one can take place. That way, everything the person will need to know about it will be right there. This would have been very useful for me when I first joined this wiki.
While you did create a blog post devoted to re-matches, not only was the information very ambiguous, but one would have to go through your history of blog posts to find it. It would really make sense to add a section on it to the battle policy. So, if you were to add a section on re-matches, I think you would have to go into detail on the circumstances under which re-matches are even allowed to be legally started, and how it lines up with the battle copyright section. The battle copyright section of the battle policy states that a battle is no longer intelectual property of its respective author once it has been two months since his/her latest activity, but I've heard elsewhere that you must wait only one month before doing a re-match.
Does this mean that, if the user has been inactive for two or more months, then you can do it without the user's permission, but if he's still active yet you get his permission, then you must wait one month before announcing it? Some clarification on that would be good. I think that there should be something about what happens if the original author disapproves. If the original author disapproves, I think that there should be some rule stating that a re-match can be done if there is a certain number of supporters for doing one, which eventually overrules the original author's veto. If you decide to implement this rule, then I will leave up to you wether the required number of supporters is constant, or wether it is dependant on how many people voted for the warrior who won.
Among the very few things you made clear in your blog post, you stated that while re-matches can be done if the warrior won by superior arsenal, you said that he cannot do one if the victor's training x-factor was put higher than his opponent. In my opinion, this does not make any sense at all. One can have slightly less training, but still win via a highly superior arsenal. But if there is a common misconception that the warrior has no formal training whatsoever, and the x-factor is unjustly set very low, and the one with more training, but a highly inferior arsenal, is commonly fanboyed and given votes for weak reasons, then the one with the inferior arsenal wins, but then this would not allow a re-match to be done. A single X-factor set by one user is a very unreliable basis for who has better training, let alone, who the deadlier warrior is. As you probably remember, Vinnie Bones did quite a poor job on representing John Rambo's X-Factors in his fight vs Victor Reznov: http://deadliestfiction.wikia.com/index.php?title=User_blog:Vinnie_Bones/John_Rambo_vs_Viktor_Reznov&s=wl
Therefore, that is a poor basis for why one should not be allowed to do a re-match. Even supposing he got the X-factor right, I can't stress enough how little sense it makes not to allow one to do a re-match if it was by possibly just ONE X-factor, while you allow it to take place if the previous victor was determined by something as major as a superior arsenal.
Going back to battle copyright, what would happen if a re-match was done without the original author's permission, the turn out was different, and the original author had been inactive for two months before the re-match wass announced, but the original author returns? Does he regain proper ownership of his matchup, and therefore invalidates the re-match, reverting back to his own results? Cause I'd like to know what happens just incase Thunderchin, the author of the original Quote vs. Duke Nukem, comes back. Just an extra little twist to my situation, my first impression was that he only allowed one day to vote on his fight before declaring the victor, but what actually happened was that he simply declared a victor without ANY votes, and the one vote received was just for the heck of it afterwards. In that case, he really wouldn't have done it properly. Unless I am much mistaken, battles like that in which votes are not properly counted are illegal and should be deleted, but I question its illegality due to the fact that it was never deleted. Now technically, the one vote it received was in favor of the victor declared by Thunderchin, so I don't know. Maybe it was just that the admins never knew. Even supposing that ordinary re-matches which were permitted due to original author's inactivity, but recalled because of a return, would Thunderchin be able to do the same in my case despite not even doing it right in the first place?
Now, the other thing I would like to touch up on is wizards and sorcerers. I think that the system for the loadout of soldiers with guns makes quite a lot of sense, but applying the same principle to wizards or super heroes, in my opinion, really doesn't make any sense at all. Giving a wizard certain short range, mid range, and long range attacks, and only allowing him to use those specific spells in the battle is really not fair. In the discussion of Voldemort vs. Darth Vader, I pointed out that various simple enchantments could be placed on the area which would greatly hinder Darth Vader in many ways. When I eventually proved that Vader could not counteract this, supporters of Darth Vader told me to "Shut up about it!" because that enchantment wasn't part of the loadout. For wizards or warriors with natural abilities, like magic, or the force, there should be a rule stating that any such abilities play a part in assisting him in being the deadlier warrior regardless of wether or not it's in the loadout, so long as that natural ability/spell has cannonically been performed by that character, or is a spell that can be performed by wizards of that universe. The reason implementing a rule like this is so necessary, is that denying it counting for them is like saying, "Superman can fly in this fight, use his super strength, speed, and laser eyes, oh but he's not allowed to use his x-ray vision in this fight, because that's not part of the loadout." While it has been pionted out that one could just put "magic," as their special, not everyone does this. And for those battles that don't properly specify, it should be assumed that the loadout is just an outline of their magical spells, and that they can use a full range of spells that exist in their universe. But this has not been the case, leading to inaccurate fights. And that is obviously not what this wiki intends to do.

Now, I'll assume that when you say you like my proposed idea, you mean the requiring a certain number of supporters and overruling the original author thing? Ok. But I still don't think I got the answer I was looking for with the not allowing re-matches if they won by training thing. Alright, so it's not about actual scores, it's about wether that's why he won or not. That still doesn't make any sense. Someone can get somebody's training wrong. Example: It is a common misconception that Iron Man has no formal training whatsoever. However, he was actually taught proper hand-to-hand combat by Captain America. In this case, it's really not fair to say that the training is constant. And really, his suit is superior by a long shot to Master Chief's in every way that would completely make the training factor obsolete. I'm sorry, but this fight gives a perfect example of why this rule makes no sense. I believe that according to the comments, there were currently three supporters for doing a re-match there. While I would make the fourth supporter for a re-match, I can't bring myself to comment on such an old battle like that. Then again, I did comment on Thunderchin's fight informing all who view the page that the fight is no longer valid...
Oh, also, since Thunderchin's fight is illegal, it might not hurt to delete it, so that nobody gets confused...
So now with wizards. You said: "I believe that their powers must be limited considering they might pack powers that can cause instant death and cannot be overridden by their opponents' powers, thus making the fight unfair," You see, that's the problem with wizard battles on this wiki. Limiting their powers is going to make them less powerful than they really are, and that makes no sense whatsoever. All that's going to do is make an inaccurate battle. It's the user's fault if he/she announces a lopsided battle. And other powerful wizards would probably be able to counteract some of their spells, making it a fair fight. It's just that matching a wizard with a wizard is probably the only option. So yeah, publishing a blog post about it might not hurt.

Hey Omni. Just wanted to leave you a quick message with a quick question. I am probably going to announce my next battle today, but before doing so would like to ask a question regarding the redirection of pages. John-117 is obviously better known as Master Chief, which is why there is a page called "Master Chief" that redirects to John-117. Likewise, A certain warrior whom I gave a page, Jake "Nomad" Dunn, is much better known as "Nomad". My question is the exact code used to do this redirection. The reason I want to do this is not so that I can just type "Nomad" and have it go to his page, because I already know how to do that as you can see. The reason is so that if someone searches "Nomad" in the search box, they'll find him. I tried this and he doesn't show up, but that result should really lead to him.

Maybe you should wrap it up. Also, I think it's about time that section on re-matches has been added to the battle policy, and make sure it doesn't contradict the battle copyright section.

I have an epic idea for a battle, but I'm unsure if should go on deadliest beasts or here. Anyway, the battle is the shark from Jaws (whatever his/it's name is) vs. Moby Dick from the book of the same name. Oh, and before you say that it's unfair, I'm gonna level the playing field by making it so that they are roughly the same size. So, is this a Deadliest Fiction or Deadliest Beasts fight? A Question Edit
Hi Omni! I have a little question for you: After a few of my Ancient Commanders battles, I intend to have a break and a different battle: Knights of the Round Table vs. Spanish Inquisition (Both Monty Python versions). If I use proper weapons (say, the Knights get a longsword and the Holy Hand Grenade among other things), does it count as a proper DW battle, or should I place it on Deadliest Jokes?

Hi. I'm really confused. On Rambo's page, it says that he's apparently the deadliest fictional warrior on this wiki. What is exactly the basis for that? Just about every warrior on this wiki is fictional. Was it because he won your tourney that you decided to do that? Well, fictional warrior is kindof a broad term. Some fictional warriors like Optimus Prime and Gandalf the White would be able to crush him before Rambo could hardly make a move. Even then, his battle status shows that he's defeated by Solid Snake. What must a warrior do to get such a thing put on a warrior page? At first, my impression was that each warrior category had a certain medal awarded to a warrior which people agreed was deadlier than any other warrior under that category. Giving it to them if they win a tourney and not considering other warriors under that category who weren't entered in the tourney or don't have pages on this wiki just sounds... not right. Some clarification on what exactly is going on would be good.
Oh, also:
Alan "Dutch" Schaefer was defeated by John Matrix who was defeated by John Rambo who was defeated by Predator. I haven't seen the movie Predator, so I can't be sure, but didn't Alan "Dutch" Schaefer defeat Predator in the movie? If so, then it makes no sense how someone deadlier than someone who was victorious over Predator got defeated by Predator. In fact, the method of covering himself in mud for stealth was a method Rambo also used in First Blood part II, but you probably already knew that. I'm just really confused right now. I don't know a lot about Predator, but I hear he's one of the over estimated warriors on this wiki.

Pach, Leo, and some other stuff Edit
Hi there Omni.
I left a message on Pacheco's talk page addressing some issues regarding properly setting up some minor things in a page, and asking what the absolute proper way to do a certain thing was, so as to minimize inconsistencies. Pach never replied, but that's most likely because Leo posted a reply on my talk page. It addressed some of the issues, but not all of them. I would like to get an answer on which of the battle text combinations should be used, as well as what the winner text should be like. And as for rewriting a battle, or writing a battle that never existed, is what Leolab said true? Maybe there should be a section on this in the battle policy.
Also, I have two questions about wiki editing that I probably should have asked months ago:
1) How do you create a category? When I say that, I don't mean add an existing category to a warrior, but create a new category.
2) How do you do that thing where you make an icon of someone appear? I usually see this in battles that aren't one-on-one.

Expert's Opinion Copyright Edit
Hi there Omni. There is a bit of debate going on regarding whether or not users are allowed to edit existing Expert's Opinions for battles, or write expert's opinions for battles that don't have them. With the page revamping act that is going on, we want the headings of battles to be consistent. With that, every battle would need to have an expert's opinion. Both me and Drayco thought it was plain common sense that both nonexistent and crappy expert's opinions were open to creation or editing, but Arrow begs to differ. If you would be so kind as to leave a comment on Drayco's blog confirming whether or not we can write or edit expert's opinions for any battle, then that would be much appreciated.
Another thing. When you implemented the three supporters of a rematch overriding the denial of the author rule, did the ability to do a rematch without the author's permission if he's inactive rule fade away? Because people were telling me on my most recent battle that even though the author of the original battle was inactive, I still had to get three supporters to make the rematch happen due to the recent change in policies. I don't remember this ever being a part of the new policy. Is it true? If the Battle Copyright and Rematch sections of the battle policy are in any way out of date, and/or contradict each other, then I ardently encourage you to update them as soon as possible. Also, it would probably be a good idea to add to the battle policy that, with the author's approval, you are able to write a battle for a battle that had a victor declared but never had a simulation, or rewrite a crappy simulation without doing a rematch. Maybe you could also say how this can be done if the author is inactive.
